Egyptian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery
In 2003, a number of pioneer laparscopic surgeons in Egypt met together and agreed to found an official body to include all surgeons interested in the specialty, aiming to deliver their experience to junior surgeons and to exchange knowledge with different national and international schools. They accepted that task and initiated a society that took the name of “Egyptian society of laparscopic surgery”. Their main goal was to popularize and enhance the practice in the field of laparscopic surgery.
